Director of Admissions

Prior to moving to Pueblo with her family in the spring of 2006, Christina and her husband, Peter, lived in their home-country Germany for 5 years. It was there that their two children were born.  During that time Christina enjoyed being a full-time mother while developing and teaching a private course for English as a Second Language for young learners.
A librarian by training, she was internationally recruited by the United Nations in 1996.  During her 4 years as a reference librarian for the Dag Hammarskjold Library in New York, Christina had the opportunity to design and launch a hands-on Internet training course for the library and subsequently conducted numerous training programs and workshops. Prior to returning to Germany, she worked with national and international non-governmental organizations seeking association with the UN, some of whose representatives lived in remote areas of their countries and often had very limited access to information resources. As a result, Christina created information material, developed a medium-range plan for a new association process and conducted the annual orientation program for these NGOs.
Christina holds an MA of Science in Library Science from Long Island University, NY (Fulbright Fellow) and a Diploma in Library Science from Hamburg University, Germany.
She is very excited about this fascinating opportunity to work as Director of Admissions for the McClelland family of which she is already a part through her two children, Max and Catalina. She is looking forward to talking with families every day and to introducing new families to McClelland’s truly amazingly positive peer community.
When Christina is not in her office, look for her spending time with her husband and children, hiking and exploring beautiful Colorado and singing in her choir.
